We are proud to announce a new Joint Venture with Javier Lavin. Javier is the founder of a Biosafety start-up, and the creator of revolutionary technology that we are now introducing globally.
Our product, CopperProtek™, is an additive for Plastic and Nonwoven material based on a Patented Copper Microparticle. It provides the biocidal qualities Copper is known for to the polymer that it is introduced to. The microparticle can be included in the production process of a wide variety of plastics and polymers providing applications suitable for several industries.
Copperprotek microparticle was finally patented in 2018. In October 2019 we won the “Testech Innovation Challenge” organized by Sigma Alimentos, a global food company with a presence in 18 countries.
Copperprotek won First Place out of 130 international startups. Immediately after we started industrial testing in cooperation with Amcor food packaging. Our technology is able to increase the shelf life of ham and pork up to 40 days, unaltering its organoleptic properties.
Our factory is located in Chile and managed directly by our CEO and founder Javier Lavín, who with the technical team are in charge of production and quality control. We only use food-grade, traceable copper that is sourced directly from the Andes Mountains.
